Morning Boat ride around an hour and a half
Boat ride awarded the view of mountain, not bored if you like birding, spot some on the shore to the next destination to experience local communities

- Bee keeping experience
Bee-keeping as part of the community based tourism experience. Your experience starts from one of the bee-keepers’ home, where you will learn how to make different types of traditional beehives from wood, cow dung and other materials, take local beehives to the apiary, and also collect fresh (warm) honey, which you can taste. To ensure your safety and security, and to boost your experience while collecting fresh honey, the association will provide protective clothes such as a bee-keepers’ veil and gloves. However, you are requested to bring/wear long trousers shirts with long sleeves or jackets.
2. Short hike in bushes with a traditional healer and dancers
This community, in help of a skilled guide, Visitors experience traditional healing practices, while you are hiking with them on their healing trail close on the shore of the Lake, learn about different herbs used for different types of illness. After the walk near the Lake Kvu, You are welcomed with traditional Rwandan dancers (Intore dancers) using traditional music instruments such as zither, lamellophone, horns and Intore dances. You participate and enjoy the best evening on the shore.
3. Coffee tour
You will have the opportunity to learn hands on about coffee growing processes from the farmers and engage in activities such as mulching, pruning, harvesting coffee beans to sorting, peeling and roasting, amongst others. Join us for this marvelous journey through our estate and the homes of our members. Additionally, the spectacular view of the Lake Kivu will make your tour more memorable.
4. Sunset traditional fishing experience
Join the fishermen in their local trim ran boats, paddle and sing with them and experience how they set their lights to attract fishes. The fishermen sustain their lives by fishing the whole night and back on the shore next morning. The caught are Isambaza, the tiny fishes trapped using a widespread lift net and pushing lamps. The panoramic lights that reflect on Lake Kivu makes the night fishing activity an amazing experience, we back on the shore by motorboat around 7pm.
Boat ride to Kinunu
In an hour, boat ride with stunning views of mountains, birds close on the shore of the lake, enjoy visit some coffee Islands and it ends to the hotel with beaches to have our lunch.
Napoleon Island and Star Island
Due to its form, it has given the name of French revolutionist Napoleon. The home of thousand hills and stunning view on the top of it, a 360 degree is a must. After hiking this one, we look for bats and velvet monkey.
