Ames boat tours is a Boat tour agency that helps tourists to relax, explore and have fun boating on lake Kivu , hiking and biking around Lake Kivu. We give our guests the best they expect from us and all our tours are guided.
Ames boat tours uses locally made wooden boat with an outboard engine and you have to wear a life jacket during a tour on Lake Kivu.
Apart from starting our tour to our main starting point, there is option to start the tour close to the nearest place on the lake and ends on the same point.
For the short and long motorboat excursion, guest is free to suggest the best time from 6am up to 4pm.
For boat transfer and long trip more than 2 hours most of time we recommend morning time and this may depend on the season and a time guest is booking your.
For the night fishing experience, it starts 5h30’ and ends about 9h. Before confirming the activity, us to make sure is available on suggested date due the experience is not the daily activity.
You can pay online (visa, MasterCard, and American express); by bank transfer while you are in Rwanda, Mobile money pay.
There are some unexpected issues that can cause to delay, to postpone or forcing to cancel the tour like weather condition, mechanical problems and any event beyond our control before or during a tour. We guarantee you if you already paid we refund you and the refund will be done only through the original mode of payment.
Cancellations made within 72 hours will receive a 50%, 25% will be refunded to the customer if the tour is canceled in 24 hours before departure of a tour and within 24 hours no refund.
We run our tours in rain or shine. For boat, it’s only raining, meaning no thunderstorms or strong winds are predicted, we can still boat. When hiking or biking, we will only cancel a tour if we feel the road conditions are too dangerous to continue.
We shall not be held responsible for any liability or additional expense they may be caused by injury, sickness or death. Further, we regret to accept liability for any personal harm or injuries either caused to you or your guests while having recreational activities either on or off the board. These may include any sort of sporting, fishing, swimming, or any other activities.
